Did anyone notice the inherent totalitarianism in the use of the word "absolute" common sense.
To me this implies that Strass knows everything about everything and that any and everyone who disagrees with him is inherently wrong and needs to be re-"educated"---here come the re-education camps.
Never mind too, that what is called "common-sense" varies from culture and in different time periods in history, including western history.
It was once the "absolute" truth (of the catholic church) that the stars were suspended in a vault above the earth and that "heaven" was above the stars---Jesus supposedly ascended to this "heaven" above the stars.
And that the sun circled the earth--and that Christianity was/is the only true "faith...and that if you sailed the ocean far enough you would fall of the edge of the world...and that all other cultures are inherently inferior to western culture---and that western capitalism is the pinnacle of human cultural development on this planet---never mind that capitalism is an extreme form of Social Darwinism---the war of all against and everything--a "culture" of fear of winner takes all ---never mind that in a culture based on unbridled competition EVERYONE loses, even the so called "winners".
